Program Details — MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence and User Experience

MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence and User Experience is the UK's first MSc to bring together AI, UX research and applied psychology in one programme. Students gain a grounding in data and AI techniques alongside human-centred design, with a deliberately practical focus including projects, group work and (where possible) work placements, graduating with a portfolio of evidence.

Minimum lower second-class (2:2) honours degree in a relevant subject (Computing, Engineering, Game Design, Maths, Physics, Psychology, or Physical/Natural/Life/Biological/Psychological Sciences); designed for students with some scripting experience. English language requirements apply.

International (2026/27): £19,950 (full-time, 12 months). Home/RUK rate £10,400. Part-time option: 24 months. Eligible international students automatically receive a scholarship worth £3,000-£7,000 over the duration of the course; Data Lab Scholarships available. Scholarship: Eligible international students automatically receive a scholarship worth between £3,000-£7,000 over the duration of the course. Eight Data Lab Scholarships (covering full tuition) available for 2026-27 entry for applicants living in Scotland.
