Program Overview
As the only program of its kind in northern Ontario, the Bachelor of Applied Computing offers a unique opportunity to gain industry skills and experience. In the first two years, students build a strong foundation in computer science principles while gaining hands-on experience through applied learning. By third year, students choose one of three specializations aligned with their interests and career goals: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or Data Analytics. A paid internship rounds out studies, applying research and analysis skills while forming industry connections. Graduates can pursue a master's degree upon graduation.
Admission Requirements
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD; 30 credits) or equivalent with at least six grade 12 U/M courses and a minimum overall average of 65%, including: any grade 12 English (U) (min 65%); one grade 12 Mathematics from MCV4U, MHF4U, or MDM4U (min 65%); and four other grade 12 U or M courses. Alternatively, mature student status. International English requirement (Degrees): IELTS Academic 6.5 (no band under 6.0), TOEFL iBT 88, PTE 58.

Fees & Funding
International students estimated first year cost: CAD $22,542.39. Canadian students: CAD $7,884.78. Entrance scholarships up to $2,000 available. Fees are estimates; full breakdown available via Cambrian's tuition and fees page. Scholarship: Up to $2,000 entrance scholarship: $1,000 automatically for new full-time semester 1 students starting September 2026, plus another $1,000 at the start of semester 2 if a 75% GPA is maintained.
