Program Details — Artificial Intelligence MSc

This MSc in Artificial Intelligence provides advanced AI knowledge and skills, focusing on deep learning and adaptable artificial neural networks. Students apply deep learning and other AI methods to image recognition, sequence analysis, optimal control, creativity and cognitive modelling, while exploring bias, ethics, accountability and trust around Explainable AI. Teaching takes place in City's AI lab with access to a dedicated HPC GPU node.

At least an upper second-class (2:1) BSc/BEng/BA honours degree (or international equivalent) in computer science; mathematics, physics, computer engineering, psychology or biology degrees also considered. Competence in Python required. IELTS not stated on the course page.

International full-time tuition fee for 2026/27 is £19,950 per year (Home/UK £10,950).
