Program Overview

Industries of all kinds are adapting to the world of machine learning to power new solutions for their markets with software developers skilled in creating machine learning applications. These solutions are considered the starting point for creating new automated workflows, business intelligence applications, and smart manufacturing initiatives. Combining a basis in artificial intelligence algorithms and computer science, this two-term Ontario College Graduate Certificate teaches you how to design a successful technology stack for the acquisition, analysis, and resolving of emerging industry challenges with advanced computer resources and infrastructure. You will advance your existing software development skills with real-world projects designed by Conestoga's experienced faculty and researchers.

Admission Requirements

Three-year or greater diploma or degree from an accredited college or university in the field of computer science and/or software engineering OR three to five (3-5) years of related full-time formal work experience in the field of software development. Applicants ranked on academic performance, length/level/discipline of degree. Applicants whose language of instruction was not English must demonstrate English language proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall with no band less than 6.0 (or equivalent: TOEFL iBT 88, PTE Academic 58, CAEL 70).

Fees & Funding

International tuition CAD $16,319 for 2 terms (2026-2027). Total fees including ancillary fees CAD $19,173.22 (non co-op). Additional costs for books, supplies and a program device may apply. OSAP available to eligible Ontario students; awards, scholarships and bursaries available via Student Financial Services. Scholarship: Conestoga awards, scholarships and bursaries via Student Financial Services (400+ awarded last year)
