Program Details — Bachelor of Computer Science

The Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree is a three-year program, including one paid co-op work term, which prepares graduates for many progressive job opportunities as high-quality software developers. Building upon the recognized foundations of computer science, students obtain applied and integrated knowledge and skills in software development emphasizing testing methodologies, software project management techniques, and a strong awareness of cybersecurity/privacy issues. Readiness for practice is developed in a multidisciplinary curriculum focused on experiential learning activities encompassing computer science theory and its application. Students are challenged to examine multiple techniques in software design, development and testing, mastering professional practices that positively impact software quality. The degree offers project-based learning courses in every semester.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with required Grade 12 English and Math courses; minimum cumulative average of 65% required for consideration (higher averages often required due to competition). International applicants whose language of instruction was not English must demonstrate English language proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall with no band less than 6.0 (or equivalent: TOEFL iBT 88, PTE Academic 58, CAEL 70).

International tuition CAD $15,961 for 2 terms (per most recently published intake fee schedule). Total fees including ancillary fees CAD $19,069.28. Additional costs for books, supplies and a program device may apply. OSAP available to eligible Ontario students; Conestoga College Degree Entrance Scholarship available.
