Program Details — Master of Arts in Leadership

A two-year program for experienced and emerging leaders to develop the ability to lead self, others and organizations through change. Delivered through a blend of online courses and on-campus residencies, or entirely online. Explores leadership through personal mastery, collaborative and strategic leadership, learning/creativity/innovation, engaged inquiry, systems change and evidence-based scholarship. Offers specializations in Executive Leadership and Health Leadership. Culminates in a capstone Engaged Leadership Project or thesis.

Standard admission: four-year (or comparable) undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum GPA of B+ (3.33/4.33), and normally a minimum of five years of leadership experience. Flexible admission: at least 10 years of professional experience with five of those years in leadership. Additional specialization-specific requirements apply for Health and Executive Leadership tracks. If English is not your primary language, RRU English language requirements apply (specific IELTS score not stated on program page).

International tuition of CAD $39,149 is the estimate for the ENTIRE program (April 2026 Executive Leadership intake); domestic CAD $28,469. All rates subject to annual increase.
