Program Overview
A two-year, cohort-based diploma combining core computing science courses and electives with a focus on networking technologies and information security. Practical, lab-based curriculum with a strong focus on industry certifications (CompTIA A+, CEH, CHFI, SSCP). Optional summer co-op/capstone. Graduates can transfer into the Bachelor of Computing Science with 57 credits. Careers include security analyst, cybersecurity specialist, ethical hacker, vulnerability analyst, network systems administrator.
Admission Requirements
Grade 12 (or equivalent) or mature student status; Pre-calculus 12 or Foundations of Mathematics 12 with minimum C+ (within last two years); English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 with minimum 73% (or equivalent). International applicants must also meet TRU English language proficiency requirements (IELTS 6.5 standard for international undergraduate admission).
