Program Overview
TRU's Master of Engineering Science is the first master's program in Software Engineering in British Columbia. It blends advanced technical knowledge with hands-on experience in high-demand fields like artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing and robotics. Includes a required co-op term and a research-based thesis (ENGR 6000, 12 credits) plus five concentration-specific graduate courses.
Admission Requirements
Undergraduate degree or equivalent in software, computer or electrical engineering or closely related discipline (computer science, data science, IT, information systems, mathematics, physics) with minimum GPA 3.00 (B average) in last 60 credits. English: TOEFL 570 (paper)/88 iBT (no section below 20), IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0), or CAEL 70 (no subset below 60). Two reference letters; CV and research statement encouraged. International application deadline March 15, 2026.

Total international tuition for the program is $46,235 CAD (2026-2027), i.e. approximately $23,118 CAD per year over two years. Excludes fees, textbooks and materials.
