Program Details — Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Applied Data Science

Designed to meet rising demand for data scientists and analysts, providing specialized training to address the provincial and national shortage of skilled labour in applied data science. Open to domestic and international students who already hold an undergraduate degree. Covers statistics, machine learning, databases, data visualization, and tools such as R, Python, Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL and Tableau.

Acceptable three-year or four-year undergraduate degree in any discipline with minimum B average (GPA 3.00/4.33 or local equivalent) in last 60 credits. Official transcripts. English: TOEFL 570 (TWE 4.5)/88 iBT (no section below 20), IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0), or completion of TRU ENGL 1100 and CMNS 1290 with minimum grade B. International deadline January 15, 2026.

International tuition is $875 CAD per credit / $2,623 per course (2026-2027), for 20 courses totalling $52,476 CAD over two years, i.e. approximately $26,238 CAD per year (program page also quotes $666.50/credit).
