Program Details — Artificial Intelligence in Engineering (MCert)

The Master's Certificate (MCert) in Artificial Intelligence in Engineering is a focused three-course (9 credit hour) Software Systems Engineering program covering advanced AI topics and their applications across diverse fields. Course options include ENSE 811 Practical Deep Learning, ENSE 817 Applied Artificial Intelligence, and ENSE 883 Software Systems Architecture. Courses can be applied toward, or embedded within, the Master of Engineering (MEng) or Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Software Systems Engineering, offering a ladder into a full master's degree. Career paths include AI Developer, Software Systems Developer, Software Tester and Software Manager.

Admission standards are the same as for a Master's Degree; apply to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research and meet graduate eligibility requirements (suitable for graduates with a bachelor's in software systems engineering, computer science or a related field). Graduate English Language Proficiency: IELTS Academic overall 6.5. Note: international students may not be eligible for Master's Certificate programs due to Visa and Study Permit regulations.
