Program Details — Data Science (MSc)

Become an expert in analysing our data-driven world. Builds on skills in computer science and mathematics, underpinned by integrated strands developing mathematical foundations, computational thinking and engineering skills, culminating in a focused research project.

2:2 or equivalent undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, with modules in programming, mathematics and algorithms or data science. English language: IELTS (Academic) 6.5, minimum 6.0 in each component (also accepts TOEFL 87, PTE 61, Duolingo 120).

Annual tuition fees 2026/27: UK GBP 13,900; International and EU GBP 32,900. Funding options include UK government Masters loans, Chevening Scholarships, funding for international students, and a 10% Masters fee discount for York undergraduate alumni.
